Details of the Advertisement of Professor/Associate Prof./Asstt. Prof.

Details of Advertisement for the post of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor

B.Ed. Programme

A. Principal/HOD

(i) Post-graduate degree in Science/Social Science/Arts/Humanities/Commerce with 55% marks, M.Ed. with 55% marks or M.A. (Education) and B.Ed. with 55% marks.

(ii) A Ph. D. in Education or any Pedagogic subject offered in the institution.

(iii) Eight years of teaching experience in a Secondary Teacher Education Institution after eligibility.

Desirable: Degree/Diploma in Educational Administration/Leadership.

B. Professor/Associate Professor

(i) Post-graduate degree with minimum 55% marks in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization.

(ii) Post-graduate degree in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education and B.Ed.) with minimum 55% marks.

(iii) Ph.D. degree in Education or in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization.

(iv) At least 10 years of teaching experience in University Department of Education or College of Education (For Professor).

(v) At least 8 years of teaching experience in University Department of Education or College of Education (For Associate Professor).

B. Assistant Professor in Education(Perspectives/Foundation in Education

(i) Post-Graduate degree in Social Science/Humanities/Science/Mathematics/Languages/Commerce with 55% marks and M.Ed. with 55% marks (except 3 (three) positions from Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, where the faculty qualification shall be post-graduation in any of these three disciplines with 55% marks and B.El.Ed./B.Ed. with 55% marks.)

(ii) Linguistics: Masters in Linguistics with 55% marks with B.Ed./B.El.Ed.

D. Assistant Professor in Curriculum and Pedagogic Courses

(i) Post-Graduate degree in Social Science/Humanities/Science/Mathematics/Languages/Commerce with 55% marks and M.Ed. with 55% marks.

(ii) M.Ed. degree with 55% marks or M.A. in Education or B.Ed./B.El.Ed. with 55% marks in each.

E. Assistant Professor in Education (Fine Arts/Performing Arts)

(i) Post-graduate degree in Fine Arts (MFA) with minimum 55% marks.

Performing Arts

(i) Post-graduate degree in Music/Dance/Theatre Arts with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent in terms of expertise and professional experience.

 

 

 

F. Assistant Professor in Physical Education

(i) Post-graduate degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) with minimum 55% marks.

 Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate shall have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission.

 

                   For BBA, B.Com.(H) & BA(Journalism & Mass Communication)

Professor:

i)                    An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

ii)                   A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

Associate Professor :

        i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

        ii) A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading 

           system is followed).

        iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position

           equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.

Assistant Professor:

i)                    A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University

 

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC.
