Online Education Vs Offline Education

Since the COVID -19 pandemic has disrupted the normal lifestyle of people across the globe, the virtual world has come to the rescue. Many institutions have also shifted their base to virtual platforms to conduct classes online. Consequently, catering to the needs of education at university level, online education has emerged as an alternative to ordinary face to face classes. For many developing countries, e-learning is considered as a solution to the increasing demand for higher education.

Lest anyone think that trend means Professors have fully embraced the value and benefits of online education, though, think again. Professors remain deeply divided about whether online learning can produce student learning outcomes equivalent to face-to-face interaction. Making a continuous effort to provide customised teaching-learning material suitable for online classes is another challenge for Professors to facilitate the online education.

The interaction on online classes keeps teachers and students connected. Apart from education and sharing content, the teachers share their experiences to boost the morale of students. No one can deny this fact that it is very crucial time for learning endeavours. The students getting graduated are concerned about their placements as well as for their further studies. First and second year students are thinking about their internships. However, Covid-19 pandemic has made the situation uncertain but Recruiters may have to think of alternative arrangements for placement interviews, consisting of an online module as well as students may involve themselves in virtual internships for getting some exposure about their field.

Placements: The importance and the Propaganda

It’s undeniable that campus placement holds a great importance for students and educational institutes, and it’s the parameter which sets the benchmark for candidates to decide which college to opt in. But, we shouldn’t hold the only side of open-ended rope. It’s the not only the placements but the people - who been made and trained in the way to seek and take the risks towards the entrepreneurship, to build their passion as the desired carrier. IT’S UNDENIABLE TOO THAT COMING ERA IS GOING TO BE RULED BY START-UPs and ENTREPRENUERS. Yes, Campus placements provide the students with a foot-in- the-door opportunity, but, there are winners who want to build that door on their own and change the shape of entire existing system.

Now why I am saying this? The simple motive behind this – world had seen people who took the extreme risk and nurture themselves to achieve the tremendous success in their passion - success, which actually is far beyond to the thinking capacity of many people. The Question is when they found the right path, and where do they find the right guidance? Many of them would agree on the term ‘in our young age’. And, it’s not unknown that it’s our professors who treat us as an adult first, even before our parents do. I suggest not only considering the placements, but also taking a keen view towards what they (college) are making you like. A well trained employee to work under one, or well passionate entrepreneur to generate your own work?

I had seen an institute who actually build like leaders in past and even in making currently, that too with upgraded skills. If you don’t believe me, just visit and meet their faculties. It’s KRCHE, Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education, located in Narela, Delhi. It has one of best faculty members in their respective fields to train people not only as leaders but as fighters to fight challenges. Life, whether an entrepreneurial journey or in any field troughs many unexpected challenges on our face. Don’t you agree on this? Yes, you will. Actually, everyone will. And the institute will keep you ready for this.
