Eligibility Criteria for Admission
B.Ed. Programme |
Admission is controlled by the University through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University every year. The minimum eligibility criteria for the admission in B.Ed. programme. Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. The University shall follow NCTE guidelines/ regulations for the B.Ed. programmes for admissions and implementation. |
The University will now consider the score of CUET and CETfor admission in academic session2023-24 |
The specific objectives of the programme are:-
- To develop dedicated, inspiring and motivational teachers.
- To equip the learners with modern techniques and technologies to enable them to face the future challenges.
- To train every perspective teacher towards achieving excellence in academic, social, mental, physical, moral, and cultural fronts.
- To provide opportunities to enhance their competenciesof creating conducive learning atmosphere in schools.
This course has been designed for those aspirants who are interested to pursue career in teaching and other related fields. For teaching in high schools and higher primary schools, B.Ed degree is must require in India. At present, the need for trained teachers is very high as lot of schools are building day-by-day. To become a successful professional in teaching field, one should have a minimum qualification in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). nce you have completed this course, you can also go for the master courses in this field like M.Ed. (Master of Education) offered by various institutions of India.
ICT Resource Centre
Information plays an important part in the wider learning process. Integration of technology in the field of education helps can support a wide range of learning activities by making information available. Ministry of Human Resource Development (2009) has stated its vision in the National Policy for ICT in School Education as:
“The ICT Policy in School Education aims at preparing youth to participate creatively in the establishment, sustenance and growth of a knowledge society leading to all round socio-economic development of the nation and global competitiveness ”.
Employing the same to improve the quality of Pre-Service Teacher Education and empower future teachers with all latest technological devices and provide firsthand experience, the ICT Resource Centre of Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education is well equipped with latest Computers along with latest Software, Wi-Fi Internet Facility, Interactive Board, LCD Projectors, Overhead Projectors etc. The main focus of the college is to provide latest technological orientation to its pupil teachers develop competency of using off-line and online electronic resources so that they can successfully adjust themselves in their work environments.
Science Resource Centre
The paradigm shift from gaining knowledge to knowledge construction has laid the importance of Resource Centre’s. In order to develop the skill of observation, experimentation and inferring among future teachers, they ought to be geared up in such a way that they themselves get trained in these skills and are able to direct their teaching towards development of these skills in their students. For devising effective teaching learning strategies, they need a place where they can find necessary equipment and other teaching aids to be used during teaching practice programme. Science Resource Centre of Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education is well equipped with the apparatus, biological specimens and other resources required performing the experiments, prescribed by the syllabus of Higher and Senior Secondary classes.
Art and Craft Resource Centre
Integrating art and craft in school education is significant as it helps in the development of fine motor skills, enhancing dexterity, improving hand-eye coordination, boosting self confidence, enhancing creativity, developing skill of decision making and enhancing self expression. Realizing the benefits of art and craft in education, the teacher education curriculum is designed to orient prospective teachers and develop their aesthetic skills. To provide learning opportunities in the field of art and craft, Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education has established a fully furnished Art and Craft Resource Centre. The Resource Centre is spacious and well equipped with all the necessary items required for art and craft activities.
Mathematics Resource Centre
Mathematics is an important part of life. Maximum learners create fear of mathematics and so remain deprived of this important faculty for life. This challenge can be overcome if the child is taught to enjoy mathematics by engaging students in innovative practices. The future teachers should be thoroughly drilled regarding these practices. To fulfill these objectives and to train the prospective teachers, Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education has established well resourced ‘Mathematical Resource Centre’. Charts models, Geometrical Instruments, Digital Resources etc are made available for their learning and as well as to use these resources during their teaching practice.
Social Science Resource Centre
Instructional aids or learning resources help in making the teaching-learning process effective and help in clarifying, interpreting and appreciating the concepts. In order to have the optimal use of theses learning resources these should be well managed resource centre. Understanding the need of Resource Centre for Social Sciences Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education features a well-equipped resource centre with equipments, apparatuses, modals, charts, CDs/DVs etc to provide a congenial environment for the learners to develop effective teaching skills in them.
