The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth program launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in India in 1969. The program aims to provide an opportunity for students to participate in community service and social work, and to develop their personality and leadership skills. The NSS aims to instill in young people a sense of social responsibility and to develop their leadership qualities through participation in community service. The NSS cell provides a platform for students to actively participate in community service activities such as awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, plantation activities, health camps, blood donation camps, and disaster management activities. These activities help in the development of the community as well as inculcate a sense of social responsibility in the students and play a crucial role in providing a platform for students to develop their personality, leadership skills, and social responsibility. It also helps the community’s overall development and promotes national integration.
