Guidance and counselling in the modern era have become cardinal needs due to a multiplicity of difficulties that individuals are facing in major areas of life. The terms guidance and counselling are perceived as synonyms and used interchangeably. However, guidance is a broader term which includes counselling as one of its services. Keeping this in mind Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education started the counselling cell ‘KR Connect’ to deal with the complex issues linked with students’ education, personal relationships, etc. Guidance is regarded as a conceptualized programme of activities that offers a gateway out to the existing difficulties in the present age of a web of scientific and technological developments.
To assist behaviour change, enhance coping skills, promote decision making, improve inter-personal and intrapersonal relationship and to facilitate users’ potential.
